My enamel powders have arrived

Last night I raced home to see if my shipment of a sampler package of 169 colors of powder enamel had arrived.   IT DID!!!!!   So I spent the night sorting through the packages of color, writing the names on the packages and organizing them by colors.  There are two groups: opaque and transparent enamels.  Then I stayed up late prepping the metal into shuttle shapes so that when I get home tonight I can start actually adding the enamel colors to my copper shuttles.  With so many colors to choose from, it may be quite the delemma.

    Hi Karen,

    I've always wanted to dabble in enamel. (It's on the bucket list. We talked about once.) Where are you going to be selling them?

      Check out your local community college/continuing education/non-credit courses. The local 'art' shops offer evening classes in things such as this. That is how I learned. My class was a 1.5 hour 'make-it/take-it' type of class, mostly aimed at women. I had done alot of research on the subject and went with alot of technique questions, but most people just go there to have fun, make something pretty, and spend time with their (girl)friends. If you're in the Omaha, Nebraska area, come hang out with me in my studio.

    I haven't completely figured that out yet. I want to sell on my website but not sure of the logistics. I will have to look into that. I also have the leather shuttles ready for sale. Right now I'm having too much fun with color and mastering the challenges associated with the process.
